Amnesia Dreams

Date
FEB 2026

It put up lots of pretty capital
Paper promise
Before it devoured you
Never properly absorbing your nutrients

What came to be
When we looked
Dip your fingers and you find
A viscous deluge
Slowly suffocating
Had it always been this way?
Cortisol bath bathing
In amnesia dreams

The over engineered fingers
And its silvery skin
Was omni directional
Marquees, glittering facades of prosperity
Quote me line by line
All hoarded treasure
chest a kind of gem
And flash to me your dopamine
Unrelenting across common screen

We began to be the mirror
To the hungry predator
To hungry predators
Hungrier than ever
Hungriest never
Always they seem to be
Chasing
Reacting
Counting
Gathering
Never Satisfied
Closing in on me
