Welcome to the new site! If you are here as a reader or even if you are simply passing through, it is an honor to have you here reading some of my work.

Speaking of which, I designed this site with a reader first objective. It's been a lingering goal to build my writers portfolio and 2026 is turning into a getting things done kind of year so far! I need this site for the next levels of my writing journey, as I look to engage with more editors via publication submissions, build a cohesive presence, solidify my writing style, and build a real readership.

Two verbs perfectly frame the design goal I had in mind: relax and read. That's it. As simple and as close to an analog reading experience as the code allows.

Personally, I despise when I land on a website and have to fight through digital clutter, clunky design, and other such modern hassles. It's like being in the jungle with a rusty machete and too much overgrowth. So I did the hacking and slashing on your behalf.

On a secondary note, I rewatched the movie The Royal Tenenbaums the weekend I started cranking on the JavaScript for this site, wondering how Wes Anderson's wonderful aesthetic preferences in film could translate to my personal author site as a sort of homage to him. As a result I decided to dive down a rabbit hole, giving it my best shot with the indispensable aid of some modern developer tooling.

I sincerely hope relaxation and immersion is the experience you have when you visit here, which also mirrors the experience I want you to have with my work itself.

And most importantly, thank you for visiting and checking out my work.
